The NPP Communication Directorate in the Savannah region has supported it’s party Communicaters with some basic Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to help the fight against Covid-19. In a release signed by the party’s Communication Director, Issah Mohammed, he stated that ‘this gesture by leadership is in compliance to the safety and preventive protocols outlined by H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana on the wearing of face masks as part of measures to win the fight against COVID-19. The directorate has been championing the president’s directive by issuing strict directive and compliance to her members by the use of face masks inn and outside the studios as communicators’.

COVID-19: SAVANNAH REGIONAL COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTORATE PROCURES BASIC PPEs FOR COMMUNICATORS IN THE REGION.
The management and leadership of the Savannah Regional Communications Directorate has procured and since distributed some basic personal protective equipments to all communicators in the Region. The exercise which is to be done by various Constituency Communication Officers on behalf of leadership will see the distribution of face masks and sanitizers to all communicators in the region. Some constituencies in the Region have also received donations of same from the Directorate.
This gesture by leadership is in compliance to the safety and preventive protocols outlined by H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana on the wearing of face masks as part of measures to win the fight against COVID-19. The directorate has been championing the president’s directive by issuing strict directive and compliance to her members by the use of face masks inn and outside the studios as communicators.
The welfare and safety of communicators remains a major preoccupation of the directorate hence this action, it’s a firm believe of leadership that as party officers who trumpets and disseminate government policies, programmes and achievements have a sole responsibility to show the way and example for others to follow whiles remaining safe and healthy themselves.
The Directorate is however by this statement, directing all communicators of the party in the Savannah Region to spend some few minutes of their time on radio to educate and sensitize the general public on the hazards of the novel Corona virus that has ravaged many countries on the globe and still ravaging.
In conclusion, the Directorate wish to join the millions of people across the globe to express appreciation and gratitude to H.E President for displaying contemporary and steady leadership in this crisis times. Please continue to adhere to all the prescribed protocols of safety and prevention and stay home.
