The Member of Parliament for Salaga South Constituency, Hon Salifu Adam Braimah has handed over a site for the commencement of works on an ultramodern market in Salaga.
Today, (27th April 2020) at the Salaga main lorry station, AFFRAKKO Ltd took custody of the site to commence construction.
The project which is supposed to be completed and commissioned in Five (5) months will contain Sixty Eight (68) lockable shops, 10 seater (WC) washrooms, a cafeteria and a pick-up point for commuters.
The member of parliament Hon. Salifu Adam Braimah who is also the Minister for Savannah region was accompanied by the Municipal chief executive Hon. Mohammed Tamimu.
He urged the contractor to ensure he speeds up with work but emphasised on quality and best standards. “I will call on daily basis to ensure you complete the project as scheduled because this very project left so many traders displaced and that has always been a worry to me”, the MP added.
Mabunwura who represented Kpembewura Ndefoso, thanked the Member of parliament for seeing the need to lobby for such a project. The project when completed according to Mabunwura will enhance economic activities in the area.
Hon. Salifu Adam Braimah finally entreated the contractor to ensure that a chunk of his work force will come from Salaga South.
