Ghanaians will go to the polls for the general elections on Monday December 7, 2020.
The NPP Savannah regional Chairman Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana (Professor Kalamonia) on Saturday 5th December, 2020, called on muslims and the general public to pray for peace before, during and after the elections.
Professor Kalamonia made this call whilst interacting with the Savannah regional Islamic Council leaders in Damongo.
The Islamic scholars delegation was led by the Yagbon Imam.
According to the Npp chairman, we should not destroy the long lasting peace and unity that we enjoy as one people because of politics.
“I believe in peace
because as a leader without peace, one can not rule well.
Alhaji Kalamonia urge all to vote wisely especially for leaders who will come and reduce the suffering of the people by creating a solid foundation for the future of our children and our country.
Professor Kalamonia presented a bull and undisclosed amount of cash to the Council to pray for the nation by reciting the Quran for a peaceful elections in Savannah region and Ghana as a whole.
The Savannah regional Islamic Council Secretary Sheikh Abubakari Sulemana Kayali expressed gratitude on behalf of the Council to Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana Kalamonia for supporting the course of peace at this crucial moment and said all Muslim bodies in the constituency would collaborate to pray for a Peaceful elections.
